USA is one of the most popular bucket list destinations. Ask just about anyone where they would go if they could go anywhere, and you can be sure the list will include a USA destination. Each state is different, which contributes to the fact that there is so much to see. Here are some of the best states to visit if you plan on travelling to America.
New York
The first on this list absolutely has to be New York, and specifically New York City. This list wouldn’t be complete without it. Some might even call it one of the biggest cultural hubs of the planet, and it is more than worth your while to pay a visit. One thing to note when travelling to New York City is that things are quite expensive there, especially so when travelling from South Africa. Considering the state of the Rand VS. The Dollar, it will be even more expensive than usual. Even when taking that into account, it will be worth every cent, and it is an experience that simply must be had. The big apple didn’t get its name for nothing, but this may not be the best destination to lay back and kick up your feet, since this is the city that never sleeps. Everyone seems to be constantly working and you will find yourself unable to sit still.
Las Vegas
Next up is Las Vegas. Just about everyone knows something about Las Vegas, and we’ve all seen so much about it in the movies that almost everyone would love to have a vacation there. Again, as with New York, it can be a very expensive destination. It will be worth it in the end, though. Las Vegas is known for its huge gambling scene and some of the best fine dining available. It has an amazing night life to offer, and the shopping options are seemingly endless. It would be best if you save up some money before going, since you will want some to spend.
Washington D.C.
If you are the kind of person that loves iconic landmarks, Washington D.C. should be one of the top destinations on your list. The nation’s capital is truly a great place, and there is so much more than just sightseeing to do. Washington D.C. has a great night life scene, and you will find great bars and restaurants scattered all over the state.
New Orleans
New Orleans is yet another great destination to consider. While not as culturally diverse as, for example, New York, it really has a culture of its own. This is a great holiday destination filled with parties and festivals, and the people are very friendly and relaxed. It is a great choice if you are planning to unwind and take it slow for a while. The culture is a blend of multiple ones, yet very unique, and everyone should be able to see it at least once.
